Bitra Guesthouse is located only 40 minutes away from Reykjavík and 15 km away from Selfoss and therefore close to the most interesting sight seeings in South Iceland.
We have 17 bedrooms on 2 floors, couple of them are with a spectecular view of Hekla Volcano. Free Internet access is available in all rooms.
There is a lot of birdlife around Bitra Guesthouse, in the pond at the guesthouse you can see ducks, sparrows, plovers, whimbrels and geeses and various other bird species.
Just east of Bitra Guesthouse there is a beautiful crack that tore open in The Quake 2008, there are many hiking paths in the area, and we have put a lot of effort in marking them.
