At Gauksmýri Guesthouse we offer made up bed in single and double rooms, with and without private bathroom. The 20 rooms, with private bathroom, all except two are on the second floor of the house. They were opened in the year 2006. The 8 rooms without private bathroom are with basin and shared bathroom. All rooms have a beautiful view. We offer our guests free wireless access to the internet.
The surroundings of Gauksmýri Guesthouse invite you to walk along and watch both birds and horses in their natural environment. The pond is a restored wetland located near the farm with a colorful and diverse birdlife. Near the pond you can visit the bird watching house where you can find binoculars and books about birds. Gauksmýri Guesthouse also offers you horseback riding. We take guests out for rides four times a day from May till October for one and half hour to two hours. No experience in required.
The icelandic food is renowned for its taste and healthiness. We make every effort to offer our guests the most unmodified and healthiest products. All the bread is home made.
