Heiðarbær in Reykjahverfi is between Húsavík and Lake Mývatn, around 20 km away from Húsavík. At Heiðarbær there is a shop, restaurant, swimming pool, camping place and a sleeping-bag accommodation. From here it is not far to the main attractions of North Iceland, for example Lake Mývatn, Goðafoss, Ásbyrgi and Jökulsárgljúfur.
In the guesthouse at Heiðarbær there are 3 double rooms, where you can choose from a fully catered guesthouse service or sleeping bag accommodation. The sleeping bag accommodation is big enough for up to 30 people. Our guests sleep in a subdivided dormitory.There are also cooking facilities.
By the swimming pool there is a hot tub and good facilities for sunbathing.
