Hlemmur Square is a new and innovative concept of accomodating international travelers in both a luxury hotel and hostel all in one building. It was to create a environment where all walks of life come together and enjoy their new „home away from home“ in Reykjavik where all age groups meet and mingle, enjoying each companies together at the well known bar and the restaurant.
The public areas are designed to be a „collection of various feelings“ whereas the main lobby is of a more modern style and then the library give the guests the old feeling and tranquility of relaxing after a tour or at any time. Colors, which Reykjavik has always been known fo,r have become a big part of the concept and are found throughout the hotel and hostel and public areas.
