Hotel Flókalundur is a small family run hotel in Vatnsfjörður, on the south coast of the Westfjords. Hotel Flókalundur was built in 1966 but prior to that, a restaurant was in operation on this location since 1961. Vatnsfjörður has always been a popular visiting place for tourists in the area.
Several small fjords that serrate the coastline are on the South coast of the Westfjords, Vatnsfjörður being the most westerly of those. The Baldur Ferry across Breiðafjörður lands at Brjánslækur just 5 minutes from Hotel Flókalundur, and on it you can visit the island of Flatey Island on your trip to Stykkishólmur on the Snæfellsnes peninsula.
