Hotel Mikligarður is a summertime hotel set within a student accommodation building in Sauðárkrókur. It offers 65 single, double, triple and family rooms, all with private facilities and a free WiFi, and a TV lounge is available on each floor.

Hotel Mikligarður is well located closed to the center of the Sauðárkrókur, which offers an array of activities. Sauðárkrókur Heritage House, an outdoor thermal bath, riding tours, bird watching area, a golf course; all of which are within walking distance from the guesthouse. As well this, there are excellent walking paths along the beach or up to the mountains above Sauðárkrókur.
The tourist attractions in the area offer regular sailing trips to Drangey Island, as well as a coffee house. Another local point of interest is Glaumbær, the old farmhouse at Skagafjörður Heritage Museum, which is a 15 minute drive from the hotel.
