Hotel Skúlagarður is only a 10 minute drive from Ásbyrgi and offers 17 double rooms. One of the rooms is specially equipped for guests with disabilities and four rooms are large enough to comfortably accommodate families.
Food is served at the hotel and the focus remains on simple home-style cooking and fresh products from the area, such as lamb from local farmers, trout and salmon from the local fish farming and vegetables from the countryside.
Hotel Skúlagarður is a former boarding school and community hall and was built in the years 1953 to 1959. In recent years the house has been remodeled into a comfortable hotel. We offer accommodation in single, double and triple rooms as well as sleeping bag accommodation and access to cooking facilities. The restaurant offers dinner, breakfast and a light lunch. We take pride in offering friendly service and comfortable atmosphere.
