Kiljan Guesthouse is a small and cozy guesthouse in North Iceland at the river Blanda, a wonderful place to stay at on your journey in Iceland. Enjoy staying in our cozy guesthouse and have dinner at our restaurant. We offer a large breakfast buffet from 8:00 until 10:00.
All kinds of fun things are available in Blönduós including fishing in lakes, horse back riding, hiking, bird watching, museums and much more.
It is exceptionally beautiful to see the sun go down where it disappears into the sea, and in good weather you can see all the way to the WestFjords. It’s also great to see the seals playing in the estuary.
Kiljan Guesthouse also has a restaurant that servers fresh Icelandic fish and meat dishes, while the bar provides a lighter menu. A furnished terrace with BBQ facilities is also available on site.
Hrútey Island is 15 minutes’ walk from the property. Other area activities include hiking along the neighbouring Blanda river and horseback riding.
