Laugarfell Guesthouse is located in the eastern part of the Icelandic Highlands, a bit north from Snæfell Mountain. There are only two km from the road that leads to Kárahnjúkar Dam. In the summer there is good access to Laugarfell Guesthouse in all kinds of vehicles.
Laugarfell offers accommodation for 34 people. Two hot springs are in Laugarfell, which give the place its name. The pools are stacked which gives them a lot of charm. The view from the pools is beautiful and in the distance one can see Mountain Snæfell. Old sayings claim the water in the pools has got healing powers.
We offer breakfast and dinner at Laugarfell Guesthouse. Orders need to be made before 4pm. We also offer sandwiches and cake, and of course we always have warm coffee and tea. We offer food packets for short or long trips
There are many interesting tracking paths around Laugarfell Guesthouse and a number of beautiful waterfalls. Additionally, one can expect to see reindeers wandering around the area of Laugarfell Guesthouse.
After a walk or sightseeing it is lovely to relax in the hot springs and enjoy the quietness, peace and bright Icelandic nights.
