Simbahöllin is a cozy, old-style coffeehouse at the edge of the world. We are located in an old grocery store from 1915, which we restored and converted into a coffeehouse. Most of the original shop interior is still intact today.
We serve quality coffee and tea, as well as home-made cakes, soups and light meals. Our Belgian waffle with homemade rhubarb jam and cream has become legendary!
We are open daily from mid-May through mid-September.
During the summer we offer guided tours through the breathtaking Sanda valley in the “Westfjords Alps” on our friendly Icelandic horses. Three tours depart daily from our stables just a few kilometers outside Þingeyri. Our standard rides are ideal for beginners and less-experienced riders, as well as families. Custom private tours for more advanced riders are also available upon request.
