Volcano Hotel is in only 170 km distance from the capital of Iceland, Reykjavík. The village of Vík is 12 km east of our hotel. Volcano Hotel is standing just besides RingRoad 1, which goes around Iceland. Coming from the east or the west, we are very easy to find.
Volcano Hotel, because of its great location, is an ideal place as a base stop when travelling in the South Iceland. Many of the most amazing pearls are in a short driving distance from us. On your way from the capital you will pass the Eyjfjallajökull glacier, the Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, the Skógafoss Waterfall and the Skógar Museum, to name a few. From Volcano Hotel there is only about 5-10 minutes drive to the black beaches and Dyrhólaey. Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon is in just over two hours drive from us, so you can easily drive there and back in a day.
Volcano Hotel has 7 comfortable rooms and we truly try our best to make you feel as comfortable as possible during your stay. The hotel is very quiet, located in a quiet area and being such a small unit, we do not have a large number of staff members, but we promise you a personal and an outstanding service. We have a dining room at Volcano Hotel. Dinner is always served at 19:30 and it is better to book dinner in advance. We take pride in using local ingredients and the local arctic char is one of our most beloved dish. We have a bar at Volcano Hotel with small selection of wine, spirits, soft drinks and beer.
